Don Tanner is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who brings a unique blend of mechanical expertise and extensive clinical experience to patient care. From an early age, Don was driven by a fascination with how things work—taking apart, repairing, and improving equipment of all kinds. This passion led him into a successful mechanical career, where he opened and operated his own shop servicing everything from lawn mowers and farm equipment to heavy oilfield machinery. His problem-solving mindset and ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues continue to shape his thoughtful, analytical approach to healthcare.

Motivated by a growing desire to help people, Don transitioned into the medical field, building a 25-year career as a Registered Nurse across specialties including Cardiovascular Services, Thoracic ICU, Emergency Services, Surgery, Cath Lab, Geriatrics, and Home Health. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University–Idaho and earned his graduate degree from United States University in San Diego.

Originally from southeastern British Columbia, Canada, Don now lives in the United States with his wife, eight children, and sixteen grandchildren. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys staying active, working with his hands, and traveling. Don’s rare combination of mechanical insight, medical expertise, and genuine compassion allows him to approach patient care with precision, creativity, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of those he serves.
